1992: Company Establishment

    Guided by the remarks made by Deng Xiaoping on deepening reform during his inspection tour of South China in early 1990, a wave of joint venture establishment was encouraged in China through the introduction of foreign investment. The North China Electric Power Research Institute, Shijingshan Power Plant and British Ishway Corporation reached a cooperative agreement to establish Beijing ENVADA Electric Power Engineering Technology Co.,Ltd.. In December 1992, after comprehensive market surveys, detailed negotiation and consultation a joint venture was create where the Chinese side held 49% shares and the British side 51% as defined in the contractual specifications.

    1994：Redistribution of Stock Ownersthip

    In January, 1994, Shijingshan Power Plant withdrew its capital from the joint venture, its shares were redistributed between North China Electric Power Research Institute and British Ishway Company Ltd. The British share rose to 58%.

    2001: Ownership Transfer

    In October 2001, the British side formally accepted the capital withdrawal application submitted by North China Electric Power Research Institute in that April, and both parties reached an agreement that the British side would purchase all shares and assets (including intangible assets) held by the Chinese side through friendly negotiations. From then on, ENVADA became a corporation wholly owned by the British but with independent stock ownership.

    2002: Real Estate Purchase

    In July 2002 ENVADA spent RMB 21 million to purchase high-grade offices of more than 2000m2 and rented another 1000m2 for production. Envada moved from its original site at North China Electric Power Research Institute to Zhongguancun Science Park, the "Silicon Valley" of China.

    2002: Foundation of the ENVADA Software Technology Co.Ltd

    The rapid development of ENVADA in 2002 give birth to the ENVADA Software Engineering Co.Ltd which is a powerful and reliable vehicle for the research development and the production of software that develops and maintains its own independent intellectual property rights.

    2004: Capital Increase for Operations Brought about through High Effeciency

    During the independent business operation from 2002 to 2004 the business scale was greatly expanded through the application of scientific modern enterprise management and sound control of funds.

    The continuous history of growth and sound market feedback led the company to increase the registered capital by more than RMB 10 million in 2004 demonstrating the investment strength of the British side and its confidence in the future development of ENVADA.
